Jesus You died for me

Today we stand still and remember Jesus as he served, a willing vessel to carry my sickness and sins to the cross

He placed me in His grace

With thorns above my face,

reminded me of sorrows I’ve never faced

rejection, and hate with immense pain, Ive surrendered  to walk in your place

your sin was my weight your sickness displaced across my face

man kind displayed the sentence, whipping me with intensity, the sting of a million swarming bees I fell to my knees

The cross I carry in your name, not in vain but purpose in this pain

My lips burst in thirst but i’m mocked and rejected soiled rags drenched in vinegar pressed my lips

hanging in agony weeping as sweat and blood fell from my face

more than I can bare I cry:  Eloi Eloi Lema sabachthani (my God my God why have you forsaken me)

God with His mercy reached down and pulled my breath away from my lips and I died for you

As we remember this day lets praise Jesus for all He did for us.
