Jesus Christ the Messiah, thats Christmas to me.
When I think as a little girl about Christmas its always family and warmth of the Love of my mother and father. Our tradition was to sit around the tree and shake all the presents Christmas Eve. I imagined in my mind what they could be, If they were the items we asked and hoped for. You see being in a Christian home as a little girl for me, mom and dad didn’t bring up Santa as the giver of gifts but, instead they shared Jesus Christ and instilled the Love of our savior as our hope and gift. We did all the usual Christmas things we just didn’t get the presents from Santa. Now let me tell you non of my so called friends sat around the tree talking about the birth of Jesus, but instead the Jolly Santa Clause that squeezed down the chimney. It didn’t really bother me to much not to get a gift from santa that is, all in all I was blessed with many gifts so the idea of Santa didn’t really effect my excitement for Christmas. On Christmas Mom always cooked a beautiful ham and made pies, cakes, cookies, and most of all was always willing to teach me the lessons she valued in life and that was love. Im blessed to say I have two loving parents that I call mom and dad, even as she left this earth to return to our heavenly Father Jesus in 2010 she was always spreading the word of God. I certainly miss her hugs and her wisdom, after having 7 children she had to of gained some knowledge. Even in missing my mom theirs always dad, Pastor Dutch is as a big part of our family and ministry at 83, the man is a fireball for God!! I praise God for him. With all this said, Jesus is my hope and now as a wife and a mother of two beautiful children, I as well share the Hope and love of Jesus Christ with loving arms and a heart of hope. This Christmas time look to Jesus not as a baby or even a man who died for you, but a savior who is your father and reap the benefits of His Love.
